Is it possible to solo the chess event in karazhan

Ex Horde takes control of their pieces, 1 or 2 raid members take control of the other pieces and sabotage them. Such as controlling the other pieces healers and not doing anything with them. Comment by Very easy. Just play chess. Heals on the King and ur good. Obect kill the other king.

This type of issue usually takes a week and a half give or take a few days.

For our raid, we had only the ones who had not died or not switched peices stay in the room, we had it on master loot and the lootmaster was able to loot the chest, however he only had 5 options to give the loot to, of course the 2 people that needed the pieces had died Comment by Castle early, watch for En Passants, and dont get picky with your Promotions. I noticed Medivh's cheating was a little more gratuitous than usual after 2. Like, the random fire actually did substantial damage to the pieces and stuff. It's still a laughably easy event, we were just a little surprised when one of our healers got burned down in the back row. The only way back into the game is to wait some time until the player is removed from the game with a "desertion" like debuff, or by quickly releasing control of the piece before the disconnect actually takes place. Comment by Thottbot I don't believe the above droprates are right. I've seen ten chess runs in person, and three times I've witnessed a horde friend do it. Every main tank in my guild has this sword, and that's alot of drops. I don't think a ton of people can be THAT lucky, either. I tried to run Karazhan but couldn't make it by the chess event until I used your strategy and worked first attempt.

Comment by Delaios I haven't lost the chess event for ages. First thing I do is move the 4 pawns that are in front of the knights, queen and king. Then I move the towers in front of the knights. Around that time Medihv usually starts cheating and will drop fire under your king, control him and move him forward.

After that just control the queen and keep both out of fire priority being the king. I've never lost with this strategy. Sometimes it takes a while for the enemy king to move into range, other times he's one of the first to come in range. Comment by ranthony It might also be worth noting on the Nightbane tab that summoning cannot be done until the quest chain is completed. I have the quest for Medivh's Journal and have already killed Aran.

Had I known that I needed to complete that quest in order to get the quest to summon Nightbane, I would have waited until I had the quest to kill that boss. Not a biggie but it saves a week if you know that the quest has to be completed first.

I think it is just available to use, and no quest is necessary. Comment by partygoblin The chess game was hard the first time then i just used the conjurer to do some damage to the warchief since he can do ranged damage and DOT then used the king to kill him off. Obviously the guide is not the problem.

This raid is extremely confusing, needs to be greatly simplified, especially now with the dungeons out. Comment by Lilus There needs to be an update to the guide. The ring related quests, as well as the rep from them, are no longer in the game.

The guide says: "First of all, I've noticed a lot of people complaining that they don't know how to dismiss the piece they are controlling. It's simple, click on the pet portrait and click Dismiss.

It will make the piece disappear, ruining the entire Event. Stayed in the room where the pieces are and waited about 5 - 10 minutes until the game respawned.
